Held as part of national Dying Matters Week, this Expo brings together mātauranga, whānau and aroha in one space — a chance to kōrero openly about death, something we so rarely do. This year’s theme, Shaping Your Legacy, invites us to reflect on what legacy means to each of us, and what we can do now to honour our wishes.
The day features talks on advance care planning, wills and estate management, eco-friendly end-of-life choices, the role of a dedicated funeral guide, and palliative and hospice support — alongside community voices exploring how culture and whānau shape the way we die and grieve. Exhibitors will showcase services from natural coffins and cooling platforms to legal planning and hospice resources.
Ka nui te mihi — we welcome you to join this warm, informative day for the whole community.
