When time is limited, photographs can become some of the most precious things we leave behind.

End-of-life photography is about documenting the people, relationships and moments that matter during one of life’s most significant chapters.
This gentle and personal talk is for anyone who is approaching the end of life, facing a terminal diagnosis, supporting someone they love, or simply interested in creating meaningful photographs for the future.
Be inspired by real stories and photographs, and discover how documentary family photography can capture connection, love and everyday life when time feels especially precious.
Sarah from Real Family Photography will share her own experiences of losing her Dad as a child, along with examples of real end-of-life photographs.

Sarah is an NZIPP Accredited Professional Photographer and Finalist Documentary Photographer of the Year 2025; with more than 25 years of experience. She lives in Motupipi with her husband and two young boys.
