Come along and find out more about how dying matters, how an ACP can benefit you & your family/whānau & what to expect at the end of life. Many people find it difficult to talk about dying, yet dying is an important stage of life and is inevitable. We plan for the birth of a child, yet when it comes to the end of life, we don’t often want to think or talk about it.

Come along to our workshop and find out more about dying matters, how an Advance Care Planning (ACP)can benefit you and your family/whānau and what to expect at the end of life. Having a plan outlines our care preferences for the future. Having an Advance Care Plan (ACP) that aligns with our beliefs and values, is a gift that we can give to our family/whānau.

We will explore:

  • Why is it hard to talk about death and dying?
  • What to expect when someone is dying
  • Supports available
  • Advance care planning processes

Presenters: Mary Ann Hardcastle Advance Care Planning Facilitator & Chris Dunn Clinical Nurse Educator Nelson Tasman Hospice

Limited attendees: Registration is essential.
