Event: Helping People Prepare For End Of Life – 21 February, Whangārei
Date: Wednesday 21st February 2024
Time: 5:30 – 7:30pm
Venue: Northland Rugby Clubrooms, 136 Riverside Dr, Whangarei
Join us in welcoming world-renowned psychologist, psychotherapist and author Marie de Hennezel, to share her decades of working with the dying and those looking to age well, beginning with setting up the first palliative care unit in France in the 1980s. Author of top ten best seller ‘The Warmth of Your Heart Prevents Your Body from Rusting‘, Marie will host an honest and open conversation about how we can help ourselves and others better prepare for end-of-life, so we can all live well and die well.
This gentle and enlightening conversation will be co-hosted by Whangārei resident and founder of Go With Grace, Katy Mandeno. Go With Grace is a new resource to guide and support New Zealanders through their experiences with death and dying, offering a collection of information, services, resources and stories to support anyone facing their own passing, or the death of a loved one.
This is a free community event and spaces are limited. If you are interested in attending, we encourage you to register as soon as possible. Donations to North Haven Hospice.
