Welcome to Dying Matters Week Otago
End of Life Doula and Celebrant , Sally Cattle brought Dying Matters Week 2024 to Otago. This event is all about supporting people to start conversations, learn from experts, and feel empowered to put end-of-life planning in place to bring peace of mind to themselves and their loved ones.
Oamaru Public Library and Ryman – Frances Hodgkins in Dunedin, hosted activities during August 2024, including resources and displays, a curated collection of books on grief and dying, poetry and stories from the local community and opportunities to chat with Sally about end of life and advanced care planning.

‘Dying to Know…’ Talks
Friday 2nd August, from 2pm
Friday 16th August, from 11am
Sally lifts the lid on all things death and dying including Advanced Care Planning.

Death-care resources from local businesses and organisations.
Poetry & Storytelling
Experiences with death and dying expressed through poems and stories shared from the local community.
