2025 Dying Matters Week Programme Launches

Book Now For 250+ Events in 26 Towns & Cities Across Aotearoa! Dying Matters Week is a national initiative supporting people across Aotearoa to start conversations in a safe space, learn from local experts and seek support to get affairs in order and navigate grief or loss. We are looking forward to you joining us from Monday 1st to Sunday 7th September at local libraries and other community spaces around New Zealand, as we create space for this important kaupapa. If you are looking for advice or support to start conversations with your partner, children, whānau or community, this is the perfect opportunity.

Regional Programmes Now Online

We are thrilled to announce that this year with the support of our incredible team of coordinators, over 250 events are planned in 26 towns and cities, with most of them free to the community. We encourage you to book early!

In many regions, these events are being generously supported by local libraries and hospices. Every regional programme is unique, with a diverse range of talks and presentations from experts in end-of-life, grief and death-care, as well as hands-on workshops, theatre and film screenings, curated book collections, talks and displays from local businesses, online events and podcasts, poetry and storytelling, Death Cafes and panel discussions.

Online Talks and Podcasts

As well as in-person events around the country, there will be a number of free online events hosted and podcasts published during Dying Matters Week.

We encourage people from around Aotearoa to join these events! Some online events will also be recorded and posted to the Go With Grace website after the event.
