For 2024 World Alzheimer’s Awareness month, join us on Friday, 20th September at 10am for an Online Talk about ‘Understanding Dementia and ‘How to become a Dementia Friendly Community’ presented by Winifred Henderson, Senior Educator DNZ.

This Talk will give an overview of ‘What is Dementia’, the different types of dementia and how they affect people. What is normal aging, the difference between normal forgetfulness and dementia and the importance of an early diagnosis.

We’ll explore what individual people can do to reduce stigma and increase awareness of dementia and how we can support a person with dementia with everyday actions that improve quality of life.
