On Saturday, 30 November, North Haven Hospice has again partnered with the Whangārei Quarry Gardens to provide space and time for the community to gather and remember the loved ones they have lost. This is a free event for all the community to remember and rejoice in good memories and dedicate a little time to special people once in their life.
All are invited to come along, walk through the gardens and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. A whakatau will begin the event at 3:15pm and light entertainment and remembrance activities for all ages are available for all those who wish to participate. Whangārei Youth Music, Whangārei Girls High School and The Spectacles are contributing their time, waiata and music to the event and North Haven Hospice also have waiata groups participating. There will be poetry, and stones to color or write messages on which can be taken home, left in the gardens or placed in the stream or lake.
