Poetry Exhibition

Grief is a part of life and comes in all shapes and sizes, triggered by loved ones dying, and also the loss of relationships, jobs, moving cities, health issues and more. When we are suffering from grief, one helpful way to help process feelings can be through writing – stories, poems, or journaling.

Beth's Poetry

We are incredibly grateful to Beth Smith, who is showing courage, grace and compassion by sharing some of her poetry with us during Dying Matters Week. Beth’s hope is that by sharing her story and her poems, others who are grieving will feel less alone, and may even feel inspired to use writing as a way to navigate their own grief.

Beth’s poems are being shared at Hihiaua Cultural Centre from Monday 1st September to Sunday 7th September as part of the 2025 Dying Matters Week Whangarei Programme.
