Go With Grace Website

North Haven have been amazing advisors to us on anything palliative care related as we developed content for the Go With Grace website leading up to our launch in November last year. Much of the information in the ‘Preparing for Death’ section of the website was based on the Hospice New Zealand guide for people caring for someone with a life-limiting condition. They have continued to support us by reviewing information, suggesting changes and connecting us with new resources so we can continue to improve and grow.

Free Community Events

In February this year, we were delighted to bring renowned French Author and Clinical Psychologist, Marie de Hennezel to Whangarei to present two sold out community events co-hosted by North Haven Hospice. Marie was an incredible speaker with decades of knowledge and experience working in palliative care – she was responsible for bringing the Hospice movement to France in the 1980s, helping to set up the country’s first palliative care unit. Dying Matters Week 2024 Programme

In Whangārei, we worked closely with North Haven Hospice to put together a packed event programme featuring many of their incredible staff sharing their specialised knowledge and resources. Topics included: Demystifying Dying, Get Your Ducks in a Row, Caring for Carers, Aromatherapy for End-of-Life Care, Ritual as a Healing Practice, Grief in the Workplace, Making a Memory Box & Capturing Life Stories.
