Dying Matters Week Kapiti Coast

Annette Burrell, therapist from The Inner Path brought Dying Matters Week 2025 to the Kapiti Coast area with events from 1st to 7th September at the Paraparaumu Library, Ocean Road Community Centre and other local businesses.

Dying Matters Week is all about supporting people to start conversations, learn from experts, and feel empowered to put end-of-life planning in place to bring peace of mind to themselves and their loved ones.

The programme included: hands-on workshops and presentations from experts in end-of-life, grief and death-care, resources and information from local businesses, crematorium open days, curated collections of books on grief and dying, online events and podcasts, art and theatre, poetry and storytelling, DIY Funeral Workshops, Death Cafes and panel discussions.
