Visit the Wind Phone

Visit the Wind Phone (Art Installation) in the Memorial Garden Takaka throughout the week. Unveiling on Monday September 1st, 2025, (Time to Be announced). Artwork by Sarah Thomas and Aralyn Dorian. A wind phone is a disconnected telephone, often in a natural setting, used as a place for people to express their grief and connect with deceased loved ones. It’s a symbolic space for sharing thoughts and emotions with those who have passed away, carried on the “wind”.
