Natural Care or Embalming
In the past, it was routine in New Zealand to embalm. We believe there are occasions where embalming is necessary, however those occasions are relatively rare. We understand that some families prefer embalming, so we work with trusted providers, when requested. At Matuku Funerals, we have a purpose built, secure, monitored cool room. We also have safe, effective solutions for keeping your deceased loved one at the family home until the funeral.

Cremation & Burial
Offering direct cremations or full-service funerals, followed by cremation, we are here to help. We partner with Wakapuaka Crematorium and have a selection of affordable cremation caskets. We offer traditional and natural burials within the Tasman and Nelson Region, at the cemetery of your choice. We carry a range of shrouds and biers, as well as eco and traditional caskets to suit any budget.
