Haven Falls Funeral Home is a family owned and operated funeral home. We have over 20 years experience in funeral planning and are here to assist you and your family through your time of loss. Haven Falls Funeral Home’s will organise all of the necessary arrangements and our caring and helpful staff are on hand during the service and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Funeral arrangements can be personalised to ensure that all cultural and spiritual considerations are met. We can organise funeral notices, religious services, secular services, burials, and cremations. We have our own chapels, which seat up to 200 people, and are also happy to coordinate with a funeral venue of your choice.

Te Korowai o Poutama Tangihanga is Haven Falls response to the karanga for whānau to reclaim their tangihanga process and take care of their own loved ones. This kete enables whānau to practice their traditional funeral rituals at home from beginning to end. Haven Falls will assist and guide the whānau on how to use the resources provided to do this sacred undertaking. Support will also be provided on how to properly treat the tūpāpaku, ensuring their mana and dignity is maintained. Haven Falls will ensure all the legal requirements are being met.

Haven Falls Community Trust

This is a kaupapa we have been wanting to do for a long time and was inspired by the many kaumatua and kuia that we have taken care of and that have made significant contributions to our communities.” In response to this, the Haven Falls Community Trust was established at the beginning of 2019. The purpose of the community trust is to provide financial support to individual and community kaupapa that contribute to development and empowerment of our communities in which we operate. We seek to assist those who are unable to access support from other avenues. For instance, whanau, organisations and individuals who are ineligible for funding from ASB, TPK, or Lotto etc. Our focus is on providing support for those who have limited access to such resources. What sets this trust apart is the expectation that recipients of the trust’s funds will give back to their community. Unlike other funding organisations, we do not provide funds in exchange for advertising, logos on jerseys, or similar promotional exchanges. Instead, the Trust requires that any individual or group receiving support contribute in some way to their community. This could include activities such as gardening, painting for kaumatua, or facilitating community workshops.
