Dying Matters Week Auckland
The team from Honohono Tātou Katoa brought Dying Matters Week back to Auckland in 2025. This event is all about connecting people across Aotearoa to start conversations in a safe space, learn from local experts and seek support to get affairs in order and navigate grief or loss.
From Monday 1st to Sunday 7th September, events took place at Auckland libraries and other community spaces as well as a number of online events. The programme included: hands-on workshops and presentations from experts in end-of-life, grief and death-care, resources and information from local businesses, crematorium open days, curated collections of books on grief and dying, online events and podcasts, art and theatre, poetry and storytelling, DIY Funeral Workshops, Death Cafes and panel discussions.
